1. Yes, TA-10 can be bridged. The power is about 50-70% increased subject to the impedance of your speakers.
2. Yes, most components insides are through-hole and reserve some soldering holes for different size components.

The procedure you described is not what I would call a "true bridging" but more like running the output stages in parallel. However it could probably work fine.
A true bridging would be to use a balanced output from the source and apply the + to the one input and - to the other input. Speakers should then be connected to the two plus terminals with no connection to the negative terminals. Output power should then (depending on psu) be 4 times rated output. Would this procedure work? I know that it depends on the general design if possible or not.
