I really like my new PA-10 SE, but I don't see the benefit of the high Gain on the phono input RCAs.
Turning the volume knob just a little bit makes the output go from zero to very loud. It's so hard to adjust. The CD input RCA is much better.
I read a rewiev of the preamp which mentioned this as a clear drawback to an otherwise brilliant performance.
Can this be adjusted?
The high Gain on the phono input RCAs is for samll output PC or iPod/iPad/iPhone as Trends PA-10 does not support does not include RIAA circuit
. You can change different tube for getting sonic performance or have fun tube rolling.
Ok, but maybe you should reconsider for future versions of the amp. My iPod Touch 3G has quite a loud line out output. Same as my full size stereo tuner.
I think I will have to connect them all to the CD input for now.
